Experience Tanzania and Zanzibar in 10 days – go on a classic safari in Northern Tanzania and then explore Zanzibar for five days.
In the morning, depart Arusha and drive for about 2.5 hours to Tarangire. Enjoy a full-day game drive inside Tarangire National Park -famous for large herds of elephants, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, buffalos, and tree-climbing African pythons. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush -served around mid-day.
Late in the afternoon, drive out of the park for dinner and overnight in Tarangire.

After breakfast, drive from Tarangire to Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is known for its endless plains, the great migration -1.5 million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, and the big five -lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalos.
In these two days, you will visit various parts of the Serengeti plains; the parts you will visit depend on the location of the great herds.

Dinner and overnight stay – at a lodge or camp in the Serengeti.

After breakfast, depart from Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater has the highest density of wildlife in Africa -the crater is home to approximately 30,000 animals at any time.
Ngorongoro Crater offers the best chance of seeing the big five – lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalos within a few hours of entering the crater floor. The bull elephants that reside inside the crater have huge tusks due to the rich mineral content found in its soil.
Later in the late afternoon, drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart to Lake Manyara National Park and arrive around mid-morning. The park is located under the western escapement of the great rift valley and is famous for tree-climbing lions, large herds of elephants, and millions of flamingos.
Lake Manyara is a scenic gem; it was once described by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africaâ€.
After lunch, fly on a light aircraft to the spice islands of Zanzibar. On arrival in Zanzibar, we will pick you up from the airport or the harbor to your hotel in the heart of Stone Town for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for a Dolphin Tour at Kizimkazi village -located on the southern tip of Zanzibar. A dolphin tour involves swimming close to beautiful schools of bottle-nosed and Humpback dolphins.
Dolphin tours happen in the morning; as the sun rises, dolphins tend to swim deeper to escape the heat from the sun. A typical dolphin tour lasts for two to three hours.

After breakfast, depart for a spice tour. Spices are grown in plantations on the hills north of Stone Town. You will visit a spice plantation where you will have the opportunity to pick, smell, savor, and even purchase spices.
After lunch, depart for a tour of Jozani Forest. Jozani is one of the last remaining sanctuaries of the red colobus monkey in the world. Later in the afternoon, drive to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Spend the day relaxing at the beach. Enjoy swimming and water sports at the beach in Nungwi. End the day watching beautiful sunsets in the evening.

After breakfast, depart for a tour of Stone Town. You will visit the House of Wonders (Beit al ajaib), Palace Museum(People’s Palace), Arab Fort, and the Slave Chambers- a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar. Also, check out Zanzibar’s bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, and countless mosques.
After lunch, drive to the airport for your flight back home or onward destination.
